Should women still be barred from voting in town and community elections?

Recently in Oba, elections were held for both the President General and the Igwe of Oba community. The constitutions for both elections expressly excluded women from participation. This is clearly in contraction the Statutory laws of Nigeria and Anambra State. Is it time for Anambra State Government to scrutinize and update Town union constitutions to reflect our laws and public policy positions?
