About this project
The automation of revenue collection in Anambra State, particularly through the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AIRS), has significantly improved the state’s annual revenue. Key initiatives include the implementation of an electronic tax system and the introduction of tax hubs to streamline and enhance revenue collection processes. Through automation, each taxpayer is registered within a central system, which ensures efficient issuance of receipts and Tax Clearance Certificates (TCCs), as well as consistent monitoring and tracking of payments. This automation has reduced leakages, increased transparency, and improved taxpayer compliance. Additionally, Fidelity Bank's donation of ten tax hubs further supports AIRS by increasing accessibility and efficiency across the state. These innovations have strengthened Anambra’s revenue base, aligning with Governor Charles Soludo's broader digital transformation goals
