About this project
The 3.275-kilometer road project of Okpuneze Hotel Road in Nnewi was initiated following persistent complaints from citizens to the local government headquarters about the poor state of the road. This vital road connects significant landmarks, including a cathedral church, a community health center, and a hotel. The deteriorated condition of the road had been a source of concern for residents, prompting them to seek intervention from the state government. Community Relief and Project Execution
Responding to the citizens' appeals, Governor Charles Soludo mobilized contractors to commence the road construction on November 10, 2022. The project was completed on March 10, 2023. The successful completion of the road has brought considerable relief to the community. The new road has improved accessibility and reduced travel time for users, who now find it easier to reach their destinations quickly. The community has expressed gratitude towards the governor for this significant development.
