About this project
The project for the distribution of 3.8 million insecticide-treated mosquito nets in Anambra State is a crucial initiative aimed at combating malaria, which remains a significant public health challenge in the region. This comprehensive distribution program in 21 Local Government Areas, will target vulnerable populations, especially pregnant women and children under five, who are most at risk of malaria. By ensuring widespread access to these protective nets, the project is expected to significantly reduce malaria transmission rates, thereby improving overall health outcomes and reducing the burden on healthcare facilities. Additionally, this initiative aligns with Anambra State’s broader public health goals and contributes to the efforts of the state government to enhance disease prevention and promote a healthier environment for its citizens
