About this project
The Greater Awka Water Supply Scheme is a strategic project aimed at providing sustainable access to potable water for residents of Awka, the capital of Anambra State, and surrounding communities. The project includes the development of water boreholes and the installation of hybrid solar-powered submersible pumps to ensure continuous water supply. By introducing reliable infrastructure and modern technology, the scheme seeks to address the long-standing water scarcity in Awka, improve public health, and support regional economic growth. Currently, the project has achieved significant milestones, with 10 boreholes at Aroma and 11 at other locations nearing full operational capacity
